This company is an established and growing business looking for an Accounts Assistantto join its Finance team. This is a varied opportunity covering financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, AP and regulatory activity.
The Role
Working as part of the Finance team, you’ll be responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting while also getting involved in the wider day-to-day running and development of the function.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
Preparing and reconciling balance sheet accounts
Posting month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments
Managing intercompany and related-party reconciliations
Processing sales invoices and liaising with customers
Supporting accounts payable, including invoice and expense claim processing
Assisting with VAT preparation and regulatory reporting
Producing ad-hoc financial reporting and MI
Supporting finance systems and identifying opportunities for improvement
Troubleshooting system issues and helping implement enhancements
Supporting process improvement across the Finance team
Providing wider support to the Finance function as required
About You
You’ll ideally be a graduate or part-qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA accountant with at least two years’ experience in a finance or accountancy environment.
Experience within a larger organisation or financial services environment would be advantageous.
You’ll also need:

A proactive approach to improving processes and systems
