Job summary

RD Financial Recruitment Limited seeks an Accounts Assistant for a temporary role in Slough. You will join the Finance team to cover a broad range of accounting responsibilities and contribute to timely financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is a graduate or part-qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA with at least two years’ experience, strong Excel skills, and a collaborative approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate or part-qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA accountant with at least two years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Post month-end journals including accruals and prepayments.
• Manage intercompany and related-party reconciliations.
• Process sales invoices and liaise with customers.
• Support accounts payable including invoice and expense claim processing.
• Assist with VAT preparation and regulatory reporting.
• Produce ad-hoc financial reporting and MI.
• Support finance systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Troubleshoot system issues and help implement enhancements.
• Support process improvement across the Finance team.
• Provide wider support to the Finance function as required.

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a role where you can take ownership of a broad range of accounting responsibilities?

This company is an established and growing business looking for an Accounts Assistantto join its Finance team. This is a varied opportunity covering financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, AP and regulatory activity.

The Role

Working as part of the Finance team, you’ll be responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting while also getting involved in the wider day-to-day running and development of the function.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting

• Preparing and reconciling balance sheet accounts

• Posting month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments

• Managing intercompany and related-party reconciliations

• Processing sales invoices and liaising with customers

• Supporting accounts payable, including invoice and expense claim processing

• Assisting with VAT preparation and regulatory reporting

• Producing ad-hoc financial reporting and MI

• Supporting finance systems and identifying opportunities for improvement

• Troubleshooting system issues and helping implement enhancements

• Supporting process improvement across the Finance team

• Providing wider support to the Finance function as required

About You

You’ll ideally be a graduate or part-qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA accountant with at least two years’ experience in a finance or accountancy environment.

Experience within a larger organisation or financial services environment would be advantageous.

You’ll also need:
