About You

You must be a self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and operate effectively in a fast-paced evolving environment.

AAT level 4 or equivalent and actively studying for ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent.

You will have a proactive approach, inquisitive by nature with a strong eye for detail.

Credible and professional behavior.

Intermediate / Advanced user of MS Office 365 applications.

Excellent communication skills.

Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Day-to-day, You Will

  • Review processes and ensure they are complete, accurate and documented thoroughly
  • Month end close - Including but not limited to accounting for Stock, Credit Cards and Inter-company re-charges. Review of P&L and BS recs for these areas along with providing commentary and analysis for senior management to explain key movements / variances.
  • Partnering with the wider finance and warehouse teams to ensure accuracy of classification of costs and correct accounting treatments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations (ensuring balance sheet accounts assigned to you are reconciled and well supported)
  • Supporting the Financial reporting Accountant in Audit & Reporting deliverables
  • Working with the Team to deliver a tighter month end close (with the view that in the future you will rotate responsibilities during month end etc to help develop into a more rounded accounting professional)
  • Assist in the consolidation of the group accounts including working with colleagues in other regions (EMEA,APAC and America)
  • Working with colleagues in the acquisition accounting team to ensure that newly acquired subsidiaries and hived entities are accounted for correctly

Your Skills And Experiences Might Also Include

  • Experience working in a fast paced and ever changing environment
  • Building efficiencies into processes and tasks (formulating / automating) processes
  • Good understanding of Stock processes / accounting is preferable
  • Dimensions (Accounting software) experience is preferable
  • Consolidating financial statements / providing commentary / analysis on movement is preferable
  • Experience working in a PE backed highly acquisitive company is preferable
