This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a few years of practice experience under their belt (or recent graduates with practice experience looking to break into the profession) to become part of a welcoming, close-knit business.
This role offers a fantastic mix of hands-on accounting, client interaction and personal development. As the firm expands its service offering into bookkeeping, you'll be joining at an exciting time of growth and evolution. You'll have the chance to really make a difference and contribute to the practice’s continued success.
What you’ll be doing:
Bookkeeping using Xero, FreeAgent, QuickBooks and Excel
Preparing tidy, client-ready records for year-end accounts
Preparing VAT returns
Assisting with self-assessment tax returns
Supporting with basic limited company accounts and corporation tax computations
Being part of a friendly team and delivering excellent client service across the board
Who we’re looking for:
We’re after someone who is keen, proactive and ready to take on a varied role within a smaller firm where flexibility is key. You should be confident working with clients, capable of managing multiple deadlines, and happy to get stuck in wherever needed.
The ideal candidate will have one of the following:
AAT Level 3 or 4 qualification
ACCA part-qualified status
A degree in Accountancy or a related field
Experience with any of the following software packages is beneficial but not essential: Xero, TaxCalc, FreeAgent, QuickBooks, BrightPay, and Microsoft Excel.
