Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Carlton Park, Leicester. You will support the Finance Shared Services Team with various accounting tasks, including:

  1. Ownership of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for key areas such as Hallmark, Hodinkee Insurance Services, and gift cards across the group;
  2. Preparing journal entries;
  3. Identifying and highlighting required controls;
  4. Investigating balances;
  5. Implementing process improvements.

About You

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting or a similar role.
  • Degree educated.
  • Desire to work in accounting and pursue qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn new systems like SAP ERP.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
