Job summary

RG Consultancy, based in Failsworth, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis. The role covers accruals, prepayments, journals, reconciliations, VAT, payroll, cashflow and stock control, with a view to supporting monthly and quarterly closes.

You will assist with budgeting and forecasting, and benefit from study support and on-site parking. Standard hours are 8am–4pm, with 22 days holiday plus bank.

Responsibilities

• Accruals, prepayments and journals
• Bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with the posting of month end journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
• Weekly payroll preparation
• Maintaining the daily cashflow schedule
• Month end stock control and valuation
• Support with budgets and forecasting
• Assist with all financial accounting tasks where required
