Assistant Accountant

Job description

An expanding manufacturing business operating in the heart of East Lancashire now seeks to appoint a new Assistant Accountant.

Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the production of the monthly management accounts pack.

Duties will include, however, are not limited to:

1. Cash flow reporting
2. Journal postings such as accruals and prepayments
3. Balance sheet reconciliations
4. Payroll analysis
5. VAT returns
6. MI reporting
7. Sales and purchase ledger processing

The successful candidate:

• Will be studying towards ACCA/CIMA or be AAT qualified
• Will have a strong month-end background
• Will have good Excel skills
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills
