Assistant Accountant
Birmingham
Up to £32,500

CV Screen is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for a fantastic business based in Birmingham. This is a mat leave cover position, but with an extremely high possibilitythe role will become permanent.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Manage aged debt and liaise with solicitors as needed.
• Issue rental invoices and process direct debits.
• Perform weekly and quarterly account reconciliations.
• Approve payments and ensure proper authorisation.
• Oversee service charge accounts and tenant billing.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts.
• Support financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close.
  
  

REQUIRED SKILLS

The Assistant Accountant will have the majority of the following experience:

• • Ideally part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or AAT
  • Intercompany balances experience
  • Practical experience with management accounts
  • Housing sector experience would be highly desirable
  • Xero experience
