Job Description

The role of Assistant Accountant is really important to us. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, assisting with all aspects of the Accounting & Financial Control functions for Radius Vehicle Solutions entities operating across Ireland.
2. Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts from trial balance to financial statements, including maintaining the Chart of Accounts, completing journals, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
3. Performing comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, including stock, intercompany, bank accounts, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and intercompany balances.
4. Comparing actual performance to budgets and providing accurate commentary to support monthly results.
5. Reviewing direct and indirect tax submissions, including VAT returns and Corporation Tax calculations.
6. Managing weekly and monthly cash flow reporting and forecasting.
7. Assisting with inter-company processes and liaising with Group Finance.
8. Supporting the year-end statutory audit process by providing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.
9. Being the point of contact for accounting queries, promoting financial understanding and control within the business, and staying updated with regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Qualifications

1. Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA accountant with at least 2 years' experience in accounting.
2. Degree educated, minimum 2:1 classification.
3. Strong technical accounting skills.
4. Advanced Excel skills.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Experience interacting with non-finance colleagues to gather relevant information.
7. High attention to detail.
