Accountant - Belfast City Centre

Temporary (3+ months) | Non-Profit | Hybrid | Flexible

Reed Finance is partnered with a non-profit organisation in Belfast city centre to appoint a qualified and experienced Temporary Accountant for an ongoing assignment (minimum 3 months).

Working closely with the Director of Corporate Services, the post holder will undertake a variety of duties including:

1. Maintain and improve financial systems and procedures
2. Monitor, control, and manage income, expenditure, and bank accounts
3. Prepare monthly management accounts, including budgetary and variance analysis, and statutory year-end accounts to deadlines
4. Liaise with Sponsor Departments
5. Coordinate with internal and external auditors
6. Maintain Fixed Asset Register
7. Attend Audit & Risk Committees
8. Participate in external meetings as required
9. Manage and develop financial management information systems and databases
10. Liaise with IT support regarding IT-related issues
11. Manage insurances and participate in risk management procedures
12. Collaborate with management to provide timely and accurate financial information

Essential Criteria:

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or equivalent) with at least 3 years' experience in financial management, management accounting, financial accounting, or auditing within the public, private, voluntary, or community sectors
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory or managerial role in an accounting, finance, or audit environment
