Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Asset Planner for a 12-month fixed term, hybrid from the Hampton office. You will own and deliver integrated site and system plans, guiding capital maintenance, asset health, and regulatory alignment across the AMP planning horizon.

You’ll lead cross-functional collaboration, manage dependencies, and communicate timelines to project deliverers while engaging with stakeholders to support 5-year planning goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of asset management and planning/forecasting.
• Analytical and confident with numbers, able to communicate complex ideas clearly.
• Good understanding of risk management.
• Confident communicator who builds relationships across teams and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, can influence across levels and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work across multiple workstreams and respond to changes in focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of integrated site plans by facilitating cross-functional collaboration and determining sequencing of interventions.
• Continuously update and maintain site and system plans, adapting to changes and evolving priorities.
• Inform planning with long-term input from Asset Strategy for AMP cycles and future needs.
• Develop and prioritise projects for 5-year AMPs with technical scope for submissions to gates.
• Create and manage system-wide plans for abstraction, treatment, storage, pumping, and sludge assets.
• Deliver on Capital maintenance plans and monitor asset health against incentives.
• Monitor asset condition and maintenance standards and anticipate failure rates.
• Support external engagement to align stakeholders with strategic plans.
