Job description

Our client, a leader in the energy sector specializing in renewable energy and Transmission and Distribution (T&D), is currently seeking a dedicated Asset Manager to join their team. This permanent position will support the management of critical offshore electricity transmission systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee asset management of offshore transmission systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Manage outsourced Operations and Maintenance (O&M) providers.
• Develop and implement Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures.
• Maintain a risk register and manage operational risks.
• Chair monthly O&M provider meetings and coordinate outages with NESO.
• Produce detailed reports for senior management, lenders, and regulatory bodies.
• Support the development of tenders and due diligence for new investment opportunities.
• Provide technical support and oversight for life cycle work management plans.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in asset management within the energy sector.
• Proven ability to manage and negotiate contracts with technical and commercial considerations.
• Strong knowledge of 132kv - 400kv substations.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with a diplomatic yet assertive approach.
• Degree-level education or equivalent in engineering (preferably electrical).
• Project management qualification is desirable.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in offshore transmission and subsea cables.
• In-depth knowledge of electricity regulation and NESO.
• Experience working with project-financed companies and advisors.
• IOSH/NEBOSH qualification.
