Job summary

Ashaphak Wood Works is seeking an experienced IT Asset Management Lead on a 3-month contract to own the organisation's asset management capability, including hardware, software, supplier, and contract assets. The role focuses on building and maintaining the CMDB and implementing best-practice processes for governance, cost optimisation, and compliance.

The successful candidate will collaborate with Technology Leadership, Finance, Procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure assets are managed

Qualifications

• Significant IT Asset Management experience including SAM or CMDB.
• Experience building and maintaining CMDBs or asset repositories.
• Strong knowledge of software licensing, compliance and optimization.
• Experience designing asset lifecycle management processes.
• Familiarity with IT governance, risk, compliance and audit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT asset portfolio management for hardware and software assets.
• Develop and improve IT Asset Management policies, standards and processes.
• Design and deliver an asset lifecycle strategy from acquisition to disposal.
• Maintain an accurate CMDB with data quality and governance.
• Act as the IT Asset Management expert across the business.
• Optimise software licensing usage and conduct audits for compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement and Service Management teams.
• Provide asset reporting and insights on status, usage and lifecycle.
• Oversee procurement, tracking, security, retirement and disposal of assets.
• Align renewals and re-procurement with contracts and licensing requirements.
