Southern Water is embarking on one of its most ambitious investment periods to date as part of the AMP8 programme – and we’re looking for a pioneering Asset Insight Analyst to help us deliver on our strategic goals.
This newly created role is a rare opportunity to make a real impact from day one. Working within our Asset Strategy and Planning team, you’ll be the critical link between data and decision-making – providing the insights that will shape how we manage our vast network of water and wastewater assets for years to come
You’ll be leading the way in turning complex asset data into actionable insight – identifying patterns, trends and opportunities that inform investment, maintenance and long-term planning. Your analysis will influence everything from asset health to risk reduction and resilience, helping Southern Water deliver improved performance, sustainability, and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities will include:
About You
You will bring experience with data analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Qlik, and Tableau, along with strong technical skills in data preparation and manipulation using Alteryx, SQL, Python, or R. With a curious and analytical mindset, you enjoy uncovering insights from data and translating complex information into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders. Knowledge of statistical modelling, forecasting techniques, and asset management standards such as ISO55000 is desirable. Familiarity with water industry operations or similar infrastructure environments is a plus but not essential.
Package
This role will be full time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week.
Southern Water operate a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington office and home.
We are offering a salary of up to £35,000 per annum depending on skills and experience as well as other benefits including:
