Role Overview
Asour new Asset Data and Systems Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our asset management strategies are built on robust, high-quality data. This is a leadership position where you’ll be responsible for managing and optimising our asset data systems, maintaining a comprehensive data library, and ensuring our analytics and reporting processes support compliance, strategic decision-making, and operational excellence.
You'lllead a team of three – an Asset Information Specialist and two Asset Data Analysts – and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture. Your expertise in asset data management, regulatory frameworks (such as the Decent Homes Standard and HHSRS), and data-driven insight will directly support investment prioritisation, resource optimisation, and innovation across the business.
Workingclosely with stakeholders from across the organisation and beyond, you’ll help align our asset data systems with our long-term strategies, driving continuous improvement in data quality, governance, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, configure and maintain asset data systems to meet organisational requirements
- Manage a comprehensive, accurate, and accessible asset data library
- Define and implement standards for data structure, classification, and documentation
- Design and implement analytics frameworks to generate actionable insights
- Oversee the production of regulatory-compliant reporting, including DHS, HHSRS, and component-level data
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies
- Monitor and close gaps in data quality and regulatory adherence
- Line manage a team of three data professionals, promoting a high-performance and collaborative team culture
- Set team objectives, provide feedback, and support professional development
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand data needs and align them with strategic priorities
- Act as a central contact for data-related queries, promoting cross-departmental collaboration
- Drive innovation in data processes, tools, and methodologies
- Track and report on key performance indicators to measure the success of asset data systems.
More About You
To thrive in this role, you'll need a solidblend of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and strategic thinking. Ideally, you'll have:
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in asset/data management or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of asset management systems and data governance practices
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks including Decent Homes Standard (DHS) and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
- Proven experience leading high-performing teams and driving a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Advanced skills in analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau). To derive actionable insights
- Familiarity with project management methodologies for overseeing system upgrades, integrations, and data projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills – you're approachable, influential, and solution-focused
- High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and compliance
- Strategic and future-focused mindset, with a drive for continuous improvement
