Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an Assembly Technician for our client in Cumnock, a market-leading manufacturer of Fire and Rescue equipment. The role offers a 4 day week, paid overtime, and a clear progression path.

You will perform assembly and production tasks for specialist vehicles, with training provided and opportunities to upskill. Salary is £17.50–£18.50 per hour, with optional overtime and company benefits. This position prioritises work-life balance and local commuting.

Are you an Assembly Technician or similar looking for a local, varied role within a market-leading manufacturer known for looking after their staff who offer a good work life balance due to a 4 day work week, ongoing development and optional overtime to increase your earnings?

This company specialise in the manufacturing of Fire and Rescue equipment and appliances such as Fire Engines and have loaded to become supply directly to a number of blue-chip customers across the UK. Since their establishment in 1989, they have become market leaders and are now looking to grow their friendly Production team.

In this varied role you will be responsible for carrying out a range of component assembly, production and technical work for specialist vehicles with a range of applications. You will be part of a tight-knit team in addition to liaising with other departments, including machine operatives who will give you training to upskill yourself on machines. This is a Monday-Thursday role working 7am-5:15pm, with optional overtime on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday paid at enhanced rates.

This role would suit an Assembly Technician or similar looking for a position that offers career stability, a good work life balance and optional overtime to increase earnings.

The Role:

• Carry out production and assembly work for specialist vehicles
• Support fitters and assist with technician responsibilites
• Upskill through industyr training
• Monday-Thursday role 7am-5:15pm
• Work within tight-knit production team and liaise with other departments
• Optional overtime available on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (first 4 hours paid 1.5x, after this 2x)
