Job summary

Apex Resource Management is seeking Assembly Technicians in Leamington Spa for a full-time role within a well‑established engineering business. You will read engineering drawings, assemble, fit and test components, and ensure quality while adhering to production schedules.

The role involves operating crimping machines and testing equipment, inspecting parts for defects, and preparing products for dispatch in a rotating shift pattern with overtime as required.

Assembly Technicians

Location: Leamington Spa

Contract: Ongoing

Hours: 37.5hpw, Rotating weekly shifts

Average Pay Rate: £14.52 per hour

The role

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Assembling, fitting and testing components.
• Inspecting parts for damage or defects and completing production paperwork.
• Setting up and operating crimping machines, etchers and testing equipment.
• Picking and packing finished products ready for dispatch.
• Working to production schedules and achieving daily targets.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.
• Working independently while contributing positively within a team.

Requirements

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Assembly, fitting or quality inspection experience.
• The ability to read engineering drawings.
• A flexible approach with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to carry out manual handling duties.

Working Hours and Pay Rate: This is a full‑time opportunity, 37.5 hours, Monday-Friday, working rotating weekly shifts and overtime as required.

Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:00 - 12:10 on Friday - £13.20 p/h

Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Thursday and 12:10 - 18:20 on Friday - £15.84 p/h

As the shifts are weekly rotating, the pay rate averages out at £14.52 per hour
