You will produce precision components from working instructions, with on-the-job training across presses, sealing and assembly processes, working 40 hours per week with flexible start times.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products following standard operating procedures and quality standards.
• Test products per specified methods and health and safety guidelines.
• Report quality issues to supervision and liaise on improvements.
• Ensure tools and machines are fit for purpose and report faults.
• Suggest improvements under the continuous improvement program.
• Work safely, using PPE, and maintain production records.
• Be flexible to work across different production areas.

Job description

Due to continued growth and a strong order book, we are looking to recruit for an assembly technician to join a leading manufacturer based in Baildon.

The successful candidates will be required to produce precision components from working instructions. Due to the variety of parts in the role, all training will be on the job in stages to ensure you are competently trained in the role including works on presses, Sealing and assembly processes.

Interested candidates will have experience in an assembly based environment working to high quality standards and tight tolerances.

Hours 40 hours per week - Start and finish time flexible within 5:30am/8:30am start and 4:30pm/7:30pm finish.

These roles are available for an immediate start!

The Role

• Carrying out assembly of products in line with standard operating procedures and relevant standards.
• Carrying out testing of products to specified product methods and in line with standards and procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Liaising with supervisors on quality issues arising from manufacturing.
• Ensuring that all tools/machines used are fit for purpose and reporting any problems to Supervision immediately.
• Recommending and carrying out any improvements in line with the company's continuous improvement program.
• Working at all time within Health and Safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
• Keeping accurate and up to date production records.
• Showing flexibility and working in other parts of the production areas as required.
