Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking an hands-on Assembly Technician to join a busy UK manufacturing environment producing high-precision components for aerospace and power generation.

The role offers practical assembly, welding and heat-treatment responsibilities within a specialist team, focusing on quality and continuous improvement. You will work on manual and semi-automated processes with training available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing or production environments.
• Experience with welding, heat treatment, or engineering processes would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow work instructions and quality procedures.
• Experience working with machinery or production equipment.
• Positive, reliable and proactive attitude.
• Strong team-working skills and willingness to learn.
• Methodical approach with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble precision-engineered components using manual and semi-automated processes.
• Carry out detailed assembly work, preparing components for the next stages of manufacture.
• Operate semi-automated welding equipment following established procedures and quality standards.
• Support heat treatment operations, including loading and operating industrial ovens and associated control systems.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Carry out routine equipment checks and report any issues.
• Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and safety.
• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production targets.
