Job summary

KLA is seeking an Assembly Support Technician in Newport, UK, to keep materials flowing and support lean manufacturing. You will interface between stores and production, clearing day-to-day issues and ensuring smooth material movement on the shop floor.

The role offers early-to-late shift patterns (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm) with potential night shifts, and a clear career development path within a fast-growing, award-winning company.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Purpose of the role

Working closely with the Manufacturing Management Team, the Assembly Support Technician will keep material flowing to the shop floor i.e shortages, consumables, new builds. To be the interface between stores and manufacturing, clearing any day to day issues that arise between these departments and to keep materials and processes flowing with a lean operating system.

This position is key to the performance and drive in a modern production environment. It offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to establish a career in a fast-growing, award-winning company with a clearly defined career development path.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm (week 1) and 2pm-10pm (week 2). There may also be the requirement to work on a night shift basis.
