Job summary

TechPoint Group is seeking skilled PCB soldering technicians to join a small manufacturing team. You will build products for leading technology companies, reading manufacturing drawings and route cards, and certifying staff to IPC standards.

The role focuses on IPC class 2/3 soldering, with exposure to X-ray/wave soldering and various assembly tasks. The ideal candidate has IPC/J-STD certification, proven manufacturing experience, and the ability to interpret drawings to ensure build

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Certified to IPC or J-STD level.
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

• Soldering a wide range of PTH components to IPC or J-STD level
• Soldering to IPC class 2 & 3 and/or J-STD level
• Reworking to the standards above (desirable)
• Operation of Xrays/ Wave soldering and other assembly equipment.
• Manufacturing cable assemblies/Small mechanical assemblies and enclosures
• Completing manual processes such as board washing, breakout, press-fit parts
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and documentation for build conformance
• A pro-active approach to managing and reporting to the quality / engineering and operations teams

We require high standards of PCB soldering skills to build products for leading technology companies. You would be working within a small team responsible for the manufacturing of complex products to IPC class level 3. Our technicians are required to read and fully understand manufacturing drawings/route cards, including component types and orientation. We have in-house trainers to certify staff to IPC standards.
