Job summary

STI Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Production Technician with precision hand soldering skills to join our manufacturing team, delivering solutions for aerospace, defence and commercial sectors.

You will work on complex electromechanical systems, contributing to mission-critical projects and upholding quality, teamwork, and continuous development in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with precision hand soldering on PCBs and assemblies.
• Experience in rework, repair and modification of PCB assemblies of varying complexity.
• IPC J-STD certification or IPC training is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Integrate PCBs into RF amplifiers and small assemblies per customer drawings.
• Complete the assembly and integration of higher-level product builds.
• Assemble partially built PCBs using Through Hole and Surface Mount technology to fine levels.
• Terminate connectors and wires (including soldered buckets, RF connectors, wires to terminals/pads, power).
• Perform rework and repair of PCBs as required.

We're seeking an experienced Production Technician with good soldering skills to join our expanding manufacturing team as we continue to deliver innovative solutions to the aerospace + defence and commercial sectors.

Please note: The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance without restrictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate PCBs into RF Amplifiers and other small assemblies and complete to customer specific engineering drawings
• Complete the assembly and integration of the higher-level product builds
• Complete partially built PCBs using Through Hole and Surface Mount technology down to microscopic level
• Termination of connectors and wires (including but not limited to soldered buckets, RF connectors, wires to terminals/pads, power)
• Rework and repair of PCBs of various complexity when the project requires.

What We're Looking For

• A high level of experience in the above skills
• Demonstrates expertise in the rework, repair, and modification of PCB assemblies of varying complexity.
• IPC J-STD certification or previous IPC training would be highly advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• A good level of dexterity
• A hardworking approach
