Assembly Operative - Stowting

£13.33 per hour

New Appointments Group are working with a leading manufacturer of premium fencing, gates and garden accessories, who are looking for reliable Assembly Operatives to join their busy production team in Stowting.

This is a hands-on role involving the assembly of timber components using a range of hand tools and machinery. Previous manufacturing or production experience is beneficial, but full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble timber fence panels, gates and other wooden structures
• Use hand tools and power tools including drills, nail guns and saws
• Measure, position and secure timber components accurately
• Follow detailed work instructions and production processes
• Work efficiently to maintain production flow and meet targets
• Carry out quality checks to ensure finished products meet the required standard
• Keep your work area clean, organised and safe
• Carry out some reasonable manual lifting as part of the role

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience using hand or power tools would be advantageous
• Manufacturing, production, factory or warehouse experience is useful
• An interest in DIY, maintenance, carpentry or practical work
• Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Comfortable working at pace in a busy production environment
• Reliable, punctual and committed with a strong work ethic
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Physically capable of carrying out manual work
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:45pm and Friday: 8:00am - 4:15pm
• Immediate start available
• Parking on site
• Own transport is essential due to the location

No formal carpentry or joinery experience is required - full training will be provided.
