Job summary

Kinetic plc in St Helens is seeking Assembly Operatives for hands-on cabinet and panel assembly. You will read technical drawings, use hand tools, and follow instructions to meet production targets. This permanent role runs Monday-Thursday 7:00am–3:30pm and Friday 7:00am–12:30pm, with holidays and company benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing or a similar hands-on production environment.
• Reading and understanding technical drawings, diagrams or assembly instructions.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow instructions and work to set specifications.
• Comfortable working to production targets while maintaining quality.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assembling cabinets, panels and components to technical drawings and specifications.

• Measuring and checking components throughout the assembly process.
• Carrying out quality checks and reporting any defects or issues.
• Ensuring completed products meet the required quality standards.
• Working to production targets and agreed timescales.
• Safely moving components and finished products when required.
• Reporting any equipment faults or problems to the Team Leader or Manager.
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area.
• Following all Health & Safety procedures.
• Working as part of a team to meet daily production requirements.

We are currently looking for Assembly Operatives to join a growing manufacturing business based in St. Helens, England, North West. The company is part of an established group specialising in equipment for telecoms networks and continues to grow year on year. This is a hands‑on manufacturing role where you will be responsible for assembling cabinets, panels and components using hand tools and working from technical drawings and assembly instructions. This is a permanent, full‑time position working Monday to Thursday, 7am to 3:30pm, and Friday 7am to 12:30pm.
