Job summary

Pro-Found Recruitment are recruiting Assembly Operatives for a late shift at a client site in Grimethorpe, Barnsley. The role involves assembling cabinets on production lines, ensuring quality and packing finished items. It is physically demanding and requires regular manual handling.

The contract is temporary to permanent based on performance, with a 39-hour week and an attendance bonus. Start date is Monday 7th September 2026; interviews on Thursday 3rd September.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly/manufacturing preferred.
• Hard working, reliable and punctual.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Joinery/carpentry experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

Job description

Pro-Found Recruitment are recruiting for a number of Assembly Operatives for the late shift for our client based in Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72.

Assembly Operative Benefits:

• Static shifts available on Day Shift - Monday to Thursday 4pm to midnight & Friday 3pm to 10pm
• Total: 39 hours per week paid weekly
• Start date: Monday 7th September 2026 - no holidays approved in the first 12 weeks due to training
• Interviews to be on held on Thursday 3rd September
• Rate of pay: £16.31 per hour - rate includes an attendance bonus
• Contract: Temporary to Permanent based on performance and attendance
• Location: Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72

Assembly Operative Duties:

• Assembling cabinets
• Working on assembly / production lines
• Quality checking of materials and finished products
• Packing and taping items
• Working with wood
• Following instructions
• General Housekeeping
• Working on your own and as part of a team
• Minimum daily requirements (production targets)

Assembly Operatives Criteria:

• Previous assembly/manufacturing experience - preferred but not essential
• Hard working, reliable and punctual
• Experience of operating and using hand tools
• Experience of joinery/carpentry preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions
• Good work ethic and prepared to learn new skills

Please note this is a very physically demanding role and requires regular manual handling as part of the day to day duties
