Job summary

Employee Finder Ltd is seeking an Assembly Operator and Tester for the Twilight Shift in Fareham. You will build and test components and assemblies to aerospace drawings and build specifications, with hands-on work requiring intricate manual dexterity and reading drawings.

You must have experience in at least three of the listed processes and be comfortable using SAP in a safety-critical environment; good eyesight and colour vision are required.

Job description

Assembly Operator and Tester, Twilight Shift

£31,784 plus 25% shift allowance | Permanent | Fareham

Our client is an aerospace manufacturer in Fareham. With the twilight allowance the package is about £39,700.

You will build and test components and assemblies to drawings and build specifications, to aerospace standards.

You need hands on experience in at least three of these:

• thin gauge TIG welding
• machine TIG
• vacuum brazing
• CNC bending
• mechanical fitting
• laser or dot peen marking
• grit blasting

Test experience helps (insulation resistance, dielectric, continuity, helium leak, gauging).

You must read drawings, use SAP and be comfortable in a safety critical environment.

The honest bit: this is a twilight shift, [shift times]. Good eyesight and normal colour vision are required, and the work needs intricate manual dexterity.

Suitable for fine gauge welders, brazers and aerospace assemblers based around Portsmouth, Southampton, Gosport, Havant, Eastleigh or Winchester.
