Exchange People is recruiting Vehicle Fitter / Workshop Assembly Operatives in Warrington to fit racking, shelving and storage systems into commercial vans. This hands-on role offers steady hours, an early finish on Fridays and a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity.

Role requires practical assembly/workshop experience or strong DIY interest, confidence with hand tools, and a valid manual driving licence. Automotive experience is a plus but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a practical role such as assembly, workshop work, vehicle prep, joinery, maintenance or shopfitting — or a strong DIY/mechanical interest.
• Confidence using hand tools and following clear instructions.
• Manual driving licence required (to move vehicles around site).
• Automotive experience would be useful, but it is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Installing racking, shelving and internal fittings into commercial vehicles.
• Using hand tools such as drills, drivers, spanners and rivet tools.
• Measuring, aligning and assembling parts to a clean, professional standard.
• Moving vehicles around the site when required, over short distances.
