Job summary

Hayward Tyler, Inc. is seeking an Assembly Fitter to ensure units are assembled to specifications on time and with high quality. You will understand quality plans, assemble/disassemble, paint and prepare units for dispatch, and demonstrate use of measuring equipment.

You will also complete dimensional and strip reports, perform pressure testing, and document results in the ERP system. The role requires 4 years in manufacturing fitting, a mechanical qualification, and strong communication and

Qualifications

• 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment using fitting skills.
• Recognised qualification in a mechanical discipline.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Time served craft apprenticeship and rotating assemblies experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Understand quality plans and procedures.
• Assemble/disassemble & Rig/de-rig all units.
• Paint and preparing units for despatch.

• Produce dimensional reports and strip inspections reports.
• Conduct pressure testing on components and units while completing relevant documents.
• Demonstrate ability to safely use air powered and electrical tools.
• Book onto and close operations on completion using the ERP system.
• Work within team and cross functional teams to ensure contractual obligations are achieved Right First Time (RFT) and On Time in Full (OTIF).
• Ensure regular 5S duties to sustain a clean environment and maintain health & safety standards.

Job description

As an Assembly Fitter, you will ensure the units are assembled to specifications on time and in full and at the required quality standards, whilst being in full compliance with all health and safety and quality requirements.

What you will do:

• Understand quality plans and procedures.
• Assemble/disassemble & Rig/de-rig all units.
• Paint and preparing units for despatch.
• Demonstrate competent use of measuring equipment.
• Produce dimensional reports and strip inspections reports.
• Conduct pressure testing on components and units whilst ensuring that the relevant documents are completed.
• Demonstrate ability to safely use air powered and electrical tools.
• Book onto and close operations on completion using the ERP system.
• Work within team and all cross functional teams to ensure contractual obligations are achieved Right First Time (RFT) and On Time in Full (OTIF).
• Ensure that regular 5S duties are carried out to sustain a clean environment.
• Adhere to all health and safety aspects related to Assembly and ensure that a zero-accident environment is maintained. Maintain high standards at all times, report problems or deviations associated with H&S to the responsible Manager/Supervisor.
• Ensure that Health & Safety, Quality and Environment assurance, control and regulatory compliance are demonstrated, by working in accordance with the documented Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and instructions.

What you will need:

• 4 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment utilising fitting skill.
• Recognised qualification in a mechanical discipline.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Time served craft apprenticeship and experience with rotating assemblies are desirable.
