Job summary

EMBS Engineering Ltd is seeking an Assembly Fitter in Nottingham on a permanent basis. The role involves assembling precision components with deburring, pot riveting, countersinking and bench work using jigs and fixtures, reading engineering drawings and using power/pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit complex parts using deburring, pot riveting, countersinking, manual drilling and bench work with jigs and fixtures.
• Operate power and pneumatic tools to assemble components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure correct assembly.

EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in North Nottingham, that is currently in the market for an Assembly Fitter to join their company on a Permanent basis.

Responsibilities

Due to internal changes and off the back of continued success, our client is seeking an experienced Assembly Fitter to join their growing team.

• Working with various materials using a variety of techniques such as deburring, pot riveting, countersinking, manual drilling, and bench work using jigs and fixtures to build and fit complex parts
• Using a variety of power and pneumatic tools such as grinders, cutters, drills, saws, and torque wrenches to assemble parts
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Previous assembly/fitting experience in precision engineering
• Aerospace Experience would be desirable
• Previous background of working with small to medium-sized precision components for high-profile industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, etc
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Able to use handheld, power, and pneumatic tools, such as; grinders, cutters, drills, saws, torque wrenches, etc
• Experience in welding, deburring, pot riveting, countersinking, manual drilling, and bench work using jigs and fixtures
• Previous experience with CNC Machining would also be advantageous
