Job summary

TRC Group is hiring Assembly Operatives to join a busy workshop at our Stourport site. You will manufacture or assemble components in line with drawings and customer requirements, ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role is temp to perm with Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm and Friday 7am-1pm, paying £12.71 per hour. A background in mechanical assembly and the ability to read engineering drawings are essential; own transport is helpful for site moves.

Qualifications

  • Previous mechanical assembly experience.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Reliability and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality finishes in a workshop environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • General inspection.
  • Use hand/power tools to assemble metal stands and components for conveyors.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Manufacture or assemble components in accordance with drawings or SOPs.
  • Notify Department Section Leader of tooling or manufacturing issues.

Job description

We are currently hiring Assembly Operatives to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for the manufacture or assembly of components in accordance with drawings or customers' requirements


Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm


Rate: £12.71


Type: Temp to perm


Location: Stourport, DY13


Key Responsibilities:


  • Delivering high-quality finishes in a workshop environment while maintaining excellent safety and quality standards.

  • General inspection

  • Using hand/power tools such as drills, mallets, screwdrivers etc to assemble metal stands and components for conveyors

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings

  • Responsible for the manufacture or assembly of components in accordance with drawings or customers' requirements and SOP's

  • Advising Department Section Leader of defective tooling, jigs or fixtures or manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved.


Requirements:


  • Previous mechanical assembly experience.

  • Experience using hand and power tools.

  • Reliability and good communication skills.

  • Ability to understand engineering drawings.

  • Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
