Job summary

Platinum-Recruitment in Poole, Dorset, is seeking anAssembler to join an electronics manufacturer producing PCB and assemblies. The role offers early finish every Friday and weekly pay, with standard hours Mon-Thu 7:30am-4pm and Friday 7:30am-1pm.

You will perform hand soldering, PCB assembly (SMT and through-hole), and mechanical assembly from drawings and BOMs, with opportunities to go permanent in a clean, organised environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing
• Strong hand soldering skills with fine-pitch components
• Understanding of SMT and through-hole processes
• High attention to detail and steady manual dexterity
• Ability to follow technical drawings and instructions

Responsibilities

• Hand soldering electronic components to a high standard
• PCB assembly (SMT and through-hole processes)
• Working with fine-pitch components with accuracy and care
• Mechanical assembly of electronic units and enclosures
• Cable preparation, crimping, and wiring tasks
• Inspecting, testing, and quality checking completed assemblies
• Rework and modification of electronic boards where required
• Working from technical drawings, BOMs, and build instructions

Key Responsibilities

As an Assembler in Poole, Dorset, you’ll be responsible for precision electronic and PCB production work, including:

• Hand soldering electronic components to a high standard
• PCB assembly (SMT and through-hole processes)
• Working with fine-pitch components with accuracy and care
• Mechanical assembly of electronic units and enclosures
• Cable preparation, crimping, and wiring tasks
• Inspecting, testing, and quality checking completed assemblies
• Rework and modification of electronic boards where required
• Working from technical drawings, BOMs, and build instructions

What we’re looking for
