Job summary

Sabor in London is seeking an Assistant Wine Manager to lead wine service and guest experience in a Michelin-starred setting. You will maintain the wine list, train staff, liaise with suppliers, and contribute to opening/closing procedures as part of the management team.

The role requires passion for hospitality, fluent English, and experience as a Wine Manager or Head Sommelier in a quality restaurant. WSET3 preferred but not essential; join a celebrated group known for exceptional dining.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Wine Manager or Head Sommelier within a quality restaurant
• WSET Level 3 or equivalent Sommelier qualification (preferred but not essential)

Responsibilities

• Manage service of wine and overseeing presentation standards
• Confidently manage a section of the restaurant as an active member of the FOH management team
• Deliver confident and professional communication with guests regarding wine selections
• Maintain wine lists up to date with vintages, prices and listings – digitally and physically
• Collaborate with Head of Wine to maintain an outstanding wine list and conduct list audits
• Deliver regular wine trainings relevant to the offering listed
• Manage wine cellar and stock on-site
• Carry out weekly wine stock-taking, ordering, purchasing and liaising with suppliers
• Maintain and develop knowledge of wine, suppliers and attend tastings
