Job summary

Academics is seeking an Aspiring Social Worker/SEN TA for a specialist school in Camberley, Surrey. You will support children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs, working closely with teachers and therapists.

Start in September with on-site training and CPD opportunities. You will typically work 8:30–15:30, Monday to Friday, term-time only, and earn 93–105 GBP per day. You must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication with students, staff and parents.
  • Ability to support a range of needs including learning, physical, sensory or behavioural challenges.
  • Willingness to engage in safeguarding and CPD.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher with the learning experience
  • Provide dedicated support to pupils with learning, physical, sensory, or behavioural challenges
  • Ability to build trusted and effective relationships with the pupils
  • Willing to do 1:1 and small group support and work with pupils
  • Follow the safeguarding guidelines and implement them in the classroom
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be a good listener with a compassionate and caring approach
  • Needs to attend staff meetings and complete relevant CPD
  • Able to commute to Camberley

This specialist school in Camberley is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Aspiring Social Worker/Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join the team. The school supports children and young people with Special Needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Needs.

Start date September, trial days taking place to ensure the role and school is right for you
Fantastic on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all pupils
Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, term time only
93- 105 per day
You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship

  • Candidates registering with Academics will need to have or apply for an Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check where appropriate

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
