Job summary

Education Personnel in Nottingham is seeking a Science Teacher (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) to start immediately or in January 2027. The role covers KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching possible for suitably experienced candidates, in a well-equipped secondary school.

The candidate will hold QTS, have at least 6 months of UK secondary teaching experience, and demonstrate a passion for science education and student achievement in a collaborative department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver KS3 & KS4 Science curriculum; KS5 teaching possible if experienced in Nottingham
• Plan, prepare and assess Combined and Specialist Science lessons with CLEAPSS safety standards
• Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions
• Contribute to Science department improvement planning
• Attend staff meetings, CPD and parents' evenings as required

Pay Rate: £130-£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Nottingham to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) for a position starting immediately or in January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Science educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS3, KS4, and potentially specialist Science KS5. Nottingham partner schools feature state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and strong university link programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver the KS3 & KS4 Science curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Nottingham
• Plan, prepare, and assess Combined and Specialist Science lessons in line with CLEAPSS safety standards
• Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions
• Contribute to Science department improvement planning

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has excellent behaviour management, practical laboratory safety skills, and communication skills
• Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life
