Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a Northamptonshire secondary school to recruit a Science Instructor from September 2026. You will deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3/KS4, covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics and support curriculum delivery in a supportive department.

The role offers permanent employment preferred, with long-term supply and fixed-term options considered. A Science degree and DBS update are expected, with opportunities to develop teaching skills and pursue

Qualifications

• Hold a Science-related degree such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Biomedical Science or similar
• Experience working with young people through tutoring, education, coaching, mentoring, or youth work
• Confident, enthusiastic and able to engage students in learning
• Enhanced DBS through Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics content where appropriate
• Make science concepts accessible for learners of varying abilities
• Support lesson planning and adapt activities to student needs
• Create a positive classroom environment that promotes curiosity
• Assess understanding and provide constructive feedback
