Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd are partnering with a secondary school in the Leeds area to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher for a long-term role commencing Autumn term 2026. Applications welcome from newly qualified teachers as well as experienced practitioners seeking a change.

You will deliver engaging science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics to KS3/KS4, align with the school’s schemes of work and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Ability to follow school schemes of work and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong classroom management and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics) to KS3 and KS4.
• Follow school schemes of work and maintain a positive, committed learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively by following school policies.
• Collaborate with support staff, subject teachers and SLT to ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons with timely marking, feedback and assessment.
