Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Teacher of Science for a secondary academy in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. The role covers KS3 and KS4 Science, with a focus on delivering engaging lessons and maintaining high standards of achievement.

You will hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification and bring solid experience with KS3/KS4 curricula, strong subject knowledge, and effective classroom management. Collaboration within a supportive Science department and participation in broader school

Qualifications

• The candidate should hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
• Strong knowledge of KS3/KS4 curriculum and subject content.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Adapt teaching to support different levels of attainment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations where applicable.
• Maintain appropriate behaviour and classroom standards.
• Work collaboratively with other Science staff.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and wider school activities.
