Levy UK & Ireland’s Members Dining Room in Wimbledon is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join the Culinary Team. You will assist the Head Chef, deputise in absence, and help deliver high-quality dishes in a clean, safe environment.

The role requires hands-on kitchen leadership, stock control, menu support, and training of junior staff. Full-time hours at The All England Lawn Tennis Club with excellent benefits and meals on duty.

Formación

• City & Guilds 706/1, 2 or NVQ Level 2 or similar qualification.
• Demonstrate innovation and strategic direction in food planning and menu development.
• Passion about food and customer service.
• Knowledge of working to a budget and achieving GP.
• Food Hygiene L2 experience.
• Experience in a similar environment desirable.
• High standards and quality driven.
• A ‘can do’ attitude is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise the preparation and cooking to provide customer choice with minimal wastage.
• Ensure all food prep follows hygiene procedures and allergen information.
• Ensure food meets standards of taste, presentation and quality.
• Ensure timely service and efficient work during busy periods.
• Ensure all food is garnished.
• Control portions, storage, wastage, stock rotation and costs.
• Assist with paperwork and wastage records.
• Keep kitchen and service area clean and attractive during service.
• Carry out weekly stock takes and manage purchasing.
• Order from nominated suppliers and maintain stock levels.
• Assist in planning menus to meet budgeted costs.
• Assist in creating new seasonal recipes for Members’ Dining Room and Club Room.
• Manage and lead the kitchen team with Head Chef support.
• Train new starters and existing staff.
• Lead and deputise in absence of Head Chef.
• Understand rotas and procurement procedures.
