Focus Counselling Services in the UK offers a trainee post on a full-time training contract split between service delivery and university study. The role involves CBT assessment, formulation, and supervised practice with a path to a Postgraduate Diploma in High Intensity CBT and a potential permanent contract.

Applicants should hold a first degree in an allied discipline (often psychology) and must not already be on a funded HEE programme. Registration with the HCPC/NMC/UKCP/MBACP is expected.

Competenze

• First degree in an allied discipline, usually psychology.
• Core mental health profession under BABCP criteria, or a KSA portfolio started and completed by the end of the first module.

Mansioni

• Accept referrals via agreed service protocols.
• Assess clients for suitability for CBT, referring complex cases to senior staff.
• Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy under guidelines.
• Follow waiting times, session numbers, review and discharge procedures.
• Attend clinical and multi-disciplinary meetings as required.
• Keep accurate clinical records in line with service requirements.
• Attend and complete the training element of the post.
• Deliver interventions to KPIs, including recovery rates and patient experience.
• Keep up to date with CBT developments and policy.
