Job summary

Nottingham Talking Therapies, run by Vita Health Group, offers a 12-month fixed-term traineeship to become a High Intensity Therapist via a PGDip in CBT. Trainees deliver NICE-recommended high intensity CBT to adults with moderate to severe CMHDs, with three days clinical work (Wed-Fri) and two days university teaching (Mon-Tue) in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

Core professional training or demonstrate KSA requirements at interview.
Core professions include clinical or counselling psychologist, mental health nurse, psychotherapist, counsellor, occupational therapist, social worker, or PWP with two years' post-qualification experience.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a mental health-related discipline, or ability to study at third-year level.

Responsibilities

Deliver NICE-recommended high intensity CBT interventions to clients with moderate to severe common mental health disorders
Carry out clinical practice with the service on three days a week, Wednesday to Friday
Attend University of Lincoln teaching on two days a week, Monday and Tuesday
Complete the one-year full-time PGDip Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Work one late shift a week from 12:00pm to 8:00pm
Receive weekly supervision from both the university and the workplace
Attend one of the service area offices for part of the week
