Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an Industrial Placement Construction Design Manager for the Cardiff region. The placement is based in Cardiff with 40 hours per week, starting September 2027 and a salary of £27,976 pro rata.

You will assist in coordinating and managing design aspects from inception to completion, ensuring drawings are produced on time and clearly understood. This role offers mentorship and growth within construction design management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and managing the design process for construction projects with architects, engineers, contractors and clients.
• Reviewing drawings, plans and specs for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Developing design solutions aligned with project objectives, budget and timeline.
• Preparing design documentation including drawings and reports.
• Conducting site visits to understand project requirements and gather data.
