Job summary

Kier Group in Cardiff is seeking an Industrial Placement Construction Manager to support the planning, coordination and supervision of construction projects. This placement is designed for a degree student seeking a placement year to gain hands-on experience and begin a career in construction management.

You'll work with the site team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard, monitor progress, costs and safety, and develop skills under experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Working towards a degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Demonstrates motivation to learn and develop professionally.
• Holds a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations.
• Monitor project progress, including schedules, costs and quality control measures.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure project execution.
• Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, safety logs and material deliveries.
• Help implement project plans, schedules and budgets whilst ensuring all work is carried out to high standards.

Education

Degree in Construction Management, Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering or closely related discipline
