Royal Horticultural Society is seeking a CommisChef to join the Food & Beverage team at RHS Garden Rosemoor. This practical, hands-on role offers training from an experienced chef team and opportunities to develop your kitchen skills while delivering high-quality food and excellent customer experiences.

Most of the focus is on preparing basic dishes, following recipes and maintaining food hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• This is a practical, hands-on role with on‑the‑job training and support from our experienced chef team.
• Desirable previous relevant experience is welcomed but not essential.
• An interest in developing a career in hospitality, particularly in a professional kitchen, is important.

Responsibilities

• Preparing basic dishes to the required quality and presentation standards
• Following recipes, portion-control requirements and food-safety procedures
• Supporting stock rotation, stocktaking and waste reduction
• Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health and safety
• Responding positively to changing service demands and kitchen priorities
• Working collaboratively with front‑of‑house and kitchen colleagues
• Taking part in team briefings, training and feedback sessions
