ACS Hillingdon is hiring a Commis Chef to support the Chef Manager in delivering fresh, nutritious lunches and exceptional catering services. This hands-on role is ideal for someone looking to develop cooking skills in a safe, supportive kitchen environment.

You will assist in food preparation, uphold HACCP standards, help with orders and stock rotation, and work closely with the catering team to ensure high-quality meals for students and staff on campus.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 1 or equivalent practical experience.
• Working knowledge of HACCP.
• Experience of catering operations is required.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Resilient and adaptable; able to work calmly under pressure.
• A team player; based in the UK; own vehicle helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of all lunches and catering services.
• Help prepare food products; work with the catering team to maintain standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and maintained; clean workstations and equipment.
• Assist in ordering and stock rotation; ensure proper labelling.
