Job summary

Classic Lodges Limited in Ambleside is seeking a Commis Chef to join our warm, hospitality-focused kitchen. You’ll assist in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes while learning under the guidance of senior chefs in a fast-paced environment.

We value teamwork, food safety, and a positive attitude. This is a full-time live-out role with the option for live-in for the right candidate; typical hours are 40 per week over five days, with tips as additional pay.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Ability to liaise well with team members and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of ingredients and dishes per chef specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen workspace.
• Support senior chefs in food production and presentation.
• Help supervise and mentor junior staff when needed.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient operations.
• Assist with stock rotation and ordering supplies.
