Job summary

Academics Ltd seeks an Aspiring Child Psychologist/Special Needs Learning Support Assistant for Worthing, West Sussex. You will support children with learning difficulties, assist teachers, and help foster safe, trusting relationships in a supportive classroom setting.

The role offers on-site training, CPD, and a consistent Mon-Fri schedule during term time, with daily pay of £93–£105. You must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN settings or learning support desired.
• Ability to support students with mild to severe learning difficulties.
• Willingness to engage in CPD and training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in providing learning experiences.
• Provide behaviour and pastoral support.
• Build robust relationships with students and families.
• Address individual needs with practical approaches.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be caring, compassionate, and a good listener.
• Support 1:1 and small group work; ensure safeguarding.
• Attend staff meetings and CPD sessions.
