Job summary

Avanti Recruitment is partnering with a business in Rotherham to recruit an experienced Web Developer / .NET MVC Developer for its in-house team. The role requires presence in the office 3 days per week and focuses on traditional ASP.NET MVC on .NET Framework.

You will work across legacy MVC and modern .NET projects as the business modernises its systems. You will design, develop and support web-based applications, interfaces and integration layers, in an Agile environment, ensuring performance

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience of Microsoft web technologies with genuine ASP.NET MVC experience on traditional .NET Framework MVC applications.
• Experience with both legacy MVC and modern .NET advantages for gradual modernization.
• Hands-on web development across design, implementation, testing and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing web-based applications
• Building web interfaces for new and existing business systems
• Working across internal applications and public-facing websites
• Developing and supporting communication and integration layers
• Working with internal users and project managers to capture requirements
• Testing applications and resolving coding issues
• Considering application performance and browser compatibility
• Supporting existing applications while contributing to the move towards modern .NET
• Working within an Agile development environment
