Job summary

Avanti Recruitment is working with a business in Rotherham looking for an experienced Web Developer / .NET MVC Developer to join its in-house development team. You will be in the office 3 days per week as the business modernises its systems.

The role covers a substantial ASP.NET MVC application estate, mainly legacy .NET Framework MVC 4.8, with newer .NET projects. You will shape the lifecycle from design to support in an Agile setting and contribute to both legacy and modernisation efforts.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft web technologies, esp. ASP.NET MVC on legacy .NET Framework MVC.
• Experience with IIS/SQL Server and web interfaces.
• Familiarity with Agile development environment and browser-facing web development.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing web-based applications
• Building web interfaces for new and existing business systems
• Working across internal applications and public-facing websites
• Developing and supporting communication and integration layers
• Working with internal users and project managers to capture requirements
• Testing applications and resolving coding issues
• Considering application performance and browser compatibility
• Supporting existing applications while contributing to modernisation of .NET
• Working within an Agile development environment
