Job summary

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an Assistant Technical Officer for its aseptic services team. The role involves preparing chemotherapy drugs and parenteral nutrition in a modern clean room with isolators and laminar flow cabinets.

We provide competency-based training and encourage development, education and ongoing training. A full-time post includes weekend/bank holiday and late duty rotas.

Qualifications

• Must have GCSE level or equivalent education.
• NVQ level 2 in pharmaceutical services or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing an aseptic service to Trust.
• Participate in the preparation of aseptic products chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition for use in the wards and supply to other hospitals.
• Ensure good housekeeping in the aseptic clean rooms and other aseptic service areas at all times.
• Stock control duties receipting unpacking, checking and recording.
• Comply with Cleanroom Personnel behaviour.
• Generate worksheets and labels according to prescription and SOPs.
