Job summary

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a committed Pharmacy/Production Technician to join the Pharmacy Aseptic Services team in Wakefield. The role focuses on aseptic preparation, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition, and requires accuracy checking and leadership support for technicians and assistants.

The successful candidate will be registered with GPHC and The Science Council, with previous aseptic experience and a strong commitment to quality assurance and patient safety

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician registered with GPHC and The Science Council.
• Experience in aseptic services and sterile product preparation is essential.
• Proven ability to supervise and train junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for Specialist Technicians in their absence.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians, Clean Room Supervisors, Students and Pharmacy Assistants.
• Brief staff on rotations and changes in working practice.
• Contribute to departmental forward planning and quality assurance.
