Job summary

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading is seeking a Band 6 Lead Technician - Education and Training (Pharmacy Aseptic Services) to lead the development and delivery of education for the aseptic workforce. You will help colleagues build skills, confidence and competencies to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

You will design structured training programmes, oversee competency assessments, mentor colleagues and shape clear career development pathways, working with Aseptic Services

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Pharmacy or Science Manufacturing Technician (SMT).
• Professional registration (e.g. GPhC, RCP, RSB, RSC) is required.
• Recognised assessor or teaching qualification, or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver education and training for staff in Aseptic Services.
• Deliver induction, practical training and competency assessments.
• Maintain training records, competency matrices and accreditation records.
• Develop training materials, frameworks, SOPs and learning resources.
• Provide coaching and feedback to colleagues on aseptic practice.
• Identify training needs with QA and support continuous improvement.
• Contribute to GMP compliance and PQS, and national standards.
